My Dear Students,
For me, every moment in the past three years has become more sentimental and close enough to be touched. Even the misconducts that annoyed me are now warmest memories.
-I was the class teacher of PREA-5
-I taught As-5 chemistry
-I worked with four of you on your university applications.
-The first day I met Edward in the admission office, he said he was a very good pingpong player.
-How I felt excited when Rachel told me that she got her conditional offer from Oxford and so on and so forth.
亲爱的同学们，
今天，对于我来说，过去三年的点点滴滴都变得更清晰，甚至是你们让我感到苦恼的错误也成为最温暖的记忆。
我曾经是PREA5 班的班主任，我曾教过AS－5班的化学，我曾经和四个学生一起做大学申请。我还记得我在招生办公室第一次遇到许鹏同学，他告诉我他很擅长打乒乓球。也记得当陈雨琪同学告诉我她拿到了牛津的预录取我是激动万分......
I am very proud that all of you can pursue your academic interests and strengths in prestigious universities worldwide. But you must be aware that good academic performance cannot guarantee your success and your happiness in a world which is full of stiff challenges and uncertainties.
我为你们将要在世界一流的大学追求自己热爱的学术感到非常骄傲。但是你们必须意识到只有好的学术表现是不能保障你们在一个充满挑战和不确定性的世界里取得成功和拥有幸福的。
You will get great reward from the determination, resilience and braveness you possess, which have been cultivated during your three years of hard work, dedication, discussion and collaboration.
在过去的三年中的努力、专注、讨论、合作让你们拥有的坚定、乐观、勇敢的品质会让你们得到最大的回报。
These qualities will help you conquer every challenge and lead you to a higher level of self-recognition. These qualities will help you explore uncertainty and lead you to a higher level of self-motivation. While you pursue the abundance of your lives, you should keep inquiring about the meaning of your lives, which is the core of being a noble person.
这些品质将帮助你们克服每一个困难并能引领你们拥有更高的自我认知能力。这些品质将帮助你探索未知并能引领你们拥有更强的内驱力。你们不仅要追求物质上的富足，更需要一直追寻人生的意义，成为一个高尚的人。
Today should be remembered not only as your day of graduation, but also as a day that you become an adult. Becoming 18 years old is the first milestone in your life. Being an adult means you will be granted independence and freedom, which are the most important privileges the adults possess and you have always dreamed of from your childhood.
今天应该被铭记在心，不仅仅因为是你们的毕业日，同时也是你们成为成人的一个重要日子。18岁是人生第一个重要的里程碑。成为一个成年人将被赋予独立和自由，这是成年人所拥有的最重要的权利，也是你们从小就梦想拥有的权利。
Meanwhile, you should take more responsibility for yourself, for the community, and furthermore, for the world at large. Balancing national interest and well-being of humanity can broaden and deepen your insights, as you become a person who thinks globally with a local perspective.
同时，你们的肩上对自己、对社区、更重要的对全世界将有更多的责任。平衡好民族利益和人类的福祉将会开阔和加深你们的洞察力，让你们成为一个拥有国际视野和本土情怀的年轻人。
Don’t lose your curiosity when becoming an adult. Continuing to ask “why” will make you be a good problem solver. Continuing to ask “why not” will make you be a great creator and pioneer. If you want a creative and exciting life in university, try to do what you are not familiar with and walk out of your comfort zone.
当你们成人后，不要失去好奇心。不断问“为什么？”能让你们成为一个解决问题的能手，不断问“为什么不？”一定能让你们成为一个伟大的创新者和先行者。如果你们想拥有一个新奇、有趣的大学生活，尝试去做一些你们不熟悉的事情，走出自己的舒适区。
You will learn how to rebound, recover and move on from the mistakes, missteps and even failures you make, which also contribute to the development of characteristics destined for success in the future.
你们将学会从错误、过失、甚至是失败中学会如何振作前行，这也是你们驶向未来成功所必须拥有的重要特质。
Pursuing higher education in an overseas university provides you a great opportunity to interact actively with people from diverse backgrounds. The disagreements and debates could offer you a good way to enhance your understanding of people from different cultures, whilst you value and display your own cultural identity and upside. Meanwhile, the capability to make your own sensible judgment in a multi-cultural circumstance is vital to fulfilling self-realization.
到海外求学也给你们提供了一个很好的机会和不同文化背景的人们积极互动。意见向左、争论都提供给你们一个很好的方式理解来自不同文化背景的人，同时你们也应该认可和展示你们自己的优势和文化。并且，在一个多元文化环境中能作出自己明智的判断对实现自我是很重要的。
Dear students, keep in your mind our school’s motto--responsibility, truth and originality, which should always be the light to guide you in the right direction and help you bounce back from adversity and obtain the momentum to move forward.

Dear Parents,
Today, you should realize that your beloved children have grown up. From now on, they are no longer under your watchful eyes. They should deal with ups and downs, highs and lows on their own.
亲爱的家长，今天你们应该意识到你们深爱的孩子们已经长大。从现在开始，他们不再在你们关注的目光下。他们将要自己面对人生中的起伏。
They have to steer their own boats with no shielding from you. Parents, take a deep breath, and please believe and have confidence that our children are all ready for a future of boundless possibilities with our love and trust after a three-year study guided by our dedicated and experienced faculty and staff.
